The Elmvale Horticultural Society is proud to support the next generation of green thumbs. Each year, we award one $300 bursary to a graduating student of Elmvale District High School who is pursuing post-secondary education in horticulture or a related field.
This bursary is intended to encourage and empower students with a passion for plants, sustainability, and environmental stewardship as they continue their academic journey.
If you're excited about growing your future in horticulture, we would like to invite you to apply below.
Smart gardening is about making thoughtful, sustainable choices that benefit both your garden and the environment. By using techniques like rainwater harvesting, composting, native planting, and natural pest control, you can create a healthier, more resilient garden while reducing waste and conserving resources. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced gardener, these practices help you work with nature—not against it.
Whether you're curious about becoming a member, attending events, applying for our student bursary, or simply learning more about what we do, this FAQ section is here to help.
